May Lau Photography

Hi, my name is May Lau and I am an award winning portrait photographer from Austin, Texas. Being able to capture beautiful candid expressions and preserve that particular moment in time is my specialty. I have a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley and a master's degree from Cornell University in a totally different subject than photography. While working in the Bay Area, I took a dark room course and fell in love with photography ever since. I am a member of the Texas Professional Photographers of America and the Southwest Professional Photographers Association. I have been fortunate to receive recognition from my colleagues and am very pleased to have several of my images in the permanent collection of the Photographic Department of Austin Community College.
